Father...

So I have noticed that one of my good friends and brothers in Christ refers to The Lord simply as "Father."

Not "Heavenly Father."

Not "Our Father."

Not "Our Father, who art in heaven."

And not "God" or "The Lord."

But simply "Father."

I love it. It is so perfect. So personal. So intimate. And so revealing of the true father-son relationship that God so longs to share with each and every one of us.

And so shall He be to me.

"Father."
